Human impulse and the capacity to change.

There are things that transcend human understanding. Things that we cannot conceptualize. Cows are largely complacent creatures, but sometimes they can be exceptionally hardheaded. They can harm you in very brutal ways, acting impulsively whether in annoyance or anger. But they are animals, just like us, so it is expected. Violence is in their nature when pushed to their limit. The limit of each individual animal is largely varied. Cows have their own understanding of the world, different from our own, not lesser, just different. You can talk about pesticides to them, and they’ll look at you crazy and continue chewing cud…because for real, what the hell are you even talking about? But to the farmer, pesticides are largely understood. They are essential to the healthy living of the cow throughout its lifespan. They kill the parasites that latch onto it so that the cow can continue living a healthy life. Thus, my point is made, there are constructs that are beyond human understanding, rhythms that we must go through as a human race, to purge, to reflect, to heal or even to renew. But do we recognize and learn the lessons. Now herein lies the greater question…are we recognizing the reflection shown to us by the happenings of this world or are we living in denial and shame of our own reflections. The greatest and most important journey is of the self, because it reflects and influences the journey of the collective. The journey of the self is a fragment of the journey of the divine, God, Amun.

Throughout my study of Neuroscience, I found greater understanding of what social conditioning does to the human psyche. How habits are inescapable. How trends within human societies are predictable. Everything down to the interaction of societies. Based on physical climates, social climates and unpredictable phenomena. Based on even trade. We are animals with predictable characteristics just like any other. I understand the great capacity we have for love and the great capacity we have for violence. Yet after every turn, we choose the easier and more brutal route, violence. We choose to adopt a philosophy of otherness. We choose to believe that no other aspect of the universe is afforded the same importance as us, this is a narrative of divisiveness. I often have sought to change people’s minds. When I was younger and naive, I thought people were open to hearing the voice of reason. I was green enough to think that everyone wants to choose the greater good. I soon realised that this is not the reality of this world. No one listens; everyone claims to be the greater victim while in turn being an even greater perpetrator. Perspective drives the narratives of carefully constructed propaganda while eliminating the perspectives of others. If you are clever enough, every word or statement on this earth can be contorted and twisted to serve a certain purpose, to spin a certain narrative and to bend the realities of ourselves and others. Don’t let anyone convince you of anything, they probably don’t know shit, even me, I’m just writing anything that comes to my mind in all honesty. That’s probably what the writers of religious texts were doing, that’s what we as philosophers do. Form your own perspective of this earth, so that you can always be ready and willing to bear any consequence that comes with adopting your own philosophical view.

Today, I’ve encountered someone that said that they would never accept the dark things that happen in this world. I think refusing the darkness of the world is in essence refusing our own darkness, it is denial of that very primitive nature that we are susceptible to. We cannot control that which we deny, we cannot recognize what we do not make the effort of seeing. If we face our capacity for evil, then it becomes easy to recognize the threads of that very evil when it takes root within the souls of others. That is the duality of life. The ever-dancing nature of good and bad that resides within us at all times. Each of us have the capacity to do evil, even a worm will turn. I was once the same, seeking to change the perspectives of others, but it is a futile attempt. There is no greater will than the mind of someone that does not want to change. No ones mind can be persuaded, bent or changed. All change stems from within. Once sovereignty is recognized. Once we stop giving our power to the binding Gods of this earth. Once we recognize that we are the creators of this universe. We are the caretakers of this earth. Every dirty and cruel act we see is a reflection of what lies within, or it is a reflection of the capacity that lies within and a reminder of our own actions and choices and how they influence the greater trajectory of humanity. It is to shine a light on the transgressions and the narratives in our mind that we adopt and enact onto other aspects of the universe around us. Why point out the speck in your brothers’ eye while ignoring the log in your own.

So, do we have the capacity to change? Yes, once the concept of the self is owned. Once the aspect of the universe takes the burden of existing within remembrance and enlightenment. Then we realize, we have the capacity to choose, we have the capacity to control what we show up as on this earth. We have the capacity to build a world of love, beauty and joy. Not just for the future, but for ourselves, because we deserve such a world. But it takes work. The journey must be taken. That is the only condition, going within, recognizing the soul that manifests within this physical body, knowing yourself and in turn knowing the world that reflects back on to you. This takes the very hard act of releasing control of everything and everyone around you. Controlling the external depletes your energy and leads to the loss of oneself. The only thing we have power over, is ourselves. Once you shed the glasses of this physical reality, you can never put them back on and you can never force others to take them off with you. Those with ears let them hear, for only those with souls that are ready to hear, shall hear the calling, and those that are unwilling will not even recognize the calling. Ask and you shall be answered, knock and the door shall be opened unto you. The laws of all that is, are crafted with unconditional love, which affords you the capacity to choose, which gives you the free will to embody your whole entirety with authenticity. There are no consequences other than the ones that we choose. What you do unto others shall be done unto you, so choose wisely. There are always better ways to do things.

I am simply here to do my job and then leave, just like my last life on earth. My grandmother said I would be a teacher, which is ironic, considering my patience runs thin when it comes to people. But my teaching is of a different kind. I cannot force or coerce you into submission, I can only live and embody my own truth and let you draw whatever conclusions you will from that. I am simply a mirror, just like everything in existence, I reflect that which lies within. There are many of us in this lifetime, many mirrors of my kind, though of a different manifestation, at this moment. At this cusp of eternity on this earth. Such a beautiful and terrifying time. There are some threads of truth that can only be found within the individual journey. The only thing found outside of us is the reflections of what goes on within. Even thoughts are an energetic frequency and construct. Thoughts are not our own, we tap into these energies to observe, filter, absorb or shield them away from or towards the internal individual soul. Any thought action or entity that we choose to think about or place our energy to, in turn blends and merges into our energetic field, whether the thoughts are good or bad, it is simply a consequence of energetic feeding. That which we feed our essence to, grows and manifests and eventually becomes part of our energetic field. If you feed your anxieties, eventually you become an anxious person. If you focus on your fears, eventually your fear consumes you. If you focus on the evil, then evil in turn appears to confirm its existence in the world. If you focus on joy, then even in the darkest moments, joy, light and love can be found.

I have often found myself questioning whether humanity deserves a beautiful world full of love. I have questioned whether the lighter moments trump all the terrible things that we do. I recognize that this is a cycle that is all consuming. Where victims become perpetrators. And yield even more victims who then pass on that hurt to the rest of the world. Can love really, conquer all? Does humanity have the strength to recognize that change comes from within. Can we recognize that for the world to change, we first have to change ourselves. You cannot claim to want a world of peace but be the first one to beat your child in a fit of anger, which is an act of chaos. You cannot be the first to claim that you do not want to be judged on the basis of race or gender, but be the first to silence, criticize or abuse your children. You cannot say that you want freedom of choice, yet our children are silenced and confined to beliefs that teach them that they are lesser than and do not deserve the same rights as their parents. You cannot be the first to judge and harm on the basis of gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or even culture then expect love and light back. Violence begets violence. You will soon realise that all aspects of society mirrors others. How we treat animals, children, people of other tribes, races and denominations…All of our narratives are reflected back to us. Our lessons take different forms but sometimes they are the same lesson manifested differently. Are you willing to hear? Is the lesson one that you are willing to learn? Everything is intertwined. We are all children of God, a divine being that radiates unconditional love, one that lets us make actions, respecting our free will, knowing our fallibility, yet giving grace to us and the universe as it balances the scales with a reflective consequence. We all deserve love. We are all loved. But sometimes love is allowing others to face the raw unfiltered version of themselves through the consequences of their actions. That is where soul evolution lies. We are broken apart, to be made whole again. We are creator and creation itself.
