There are certain fundamental truths about the universe…known knowns…unknown knowns …known unknowns …so on and so forth. These are the guidelines within which we consciously or subconsciously move through existence. Science is a terrible and incredible thing, it unveils the workings of the universe, yes, but it proves that we the humans are small …we are a simple stitch woven into the fabric of existence. Yet in our simplicity, we find meaning in existence, we find those little fragments of the universe that are worth the burden of human life, through the people we experience, and those who experience us …through the memories we make and the emotions we feel. All these experiences, these moments of meaningful time are stored in the hippocampus.
One fundamental truth, death in medicine is defined as the stopping of the heart. Another fundamental truth, our brain remains alive for a few moments after death supposedly replaying all those precious moments stored in the memory center. The last fundamental truth, David Chege was denied the right to re-live his precious memories when he was unjustly murdered by a sniper under the employ of the state. Out of all the lives lost, his death sticks with me the most .
Upon the stopping of the heart, there is increased electrical activity in the human brain …gamma waves …patterns linking to memory recall and consciousness. Neuronal activity meant to signify the access of our life memories and moments that were stored in our brains. A sort of goodbye to a life well lived. But what happens when the brain is brutally broken apart by a lead bullet. No neuronal activity, no gamma waves, no memories and no goodbyes. This is the price of exercising your constitutional right in this country. You speak up against injustice and your penance …well…we all know.
Tyrannical governments are laughable. I mean, how does one lie consistently to the faces of a population that knows the truth. The absurdity of it all…a man that cannot construct a one-word sentence in any official language of the state, sits in senate presiding over the laws of the country and is mysteriously earning billions. Yet we, the sane, are sprayed with bullets for demanding our rights.
We often rescind the power of our being, to forces that are external to us. We hope for change but are unwilling to enact it. We pray for salvation and are unwilling to be the saviour. We cannot receive that which we are not willing to be. I have said before and will say again, that you are the divine being you term as God. You have the power to change the narrative and the power to inspire change. Anything that happens outside of you is a result of what happens internally. Silence the fear, reign in the doubt and eliminate the powerlessness. You will then find that all is love. You will discover that all the insanity we are victims of, are conjured up narratives that are generated internally. If you believe in the collective power of love. If you believe in the vision of an earth that is better than what we are living through. Then you must embody love and constantly operate from it. We must employ the power of collective love and shape the world that we desire to live in. It all begins within. It all begins with YOU.
